Ruger 77/357 mould

I just picked up a NIB Ruger 77/357 and am looking for a 220-245 grain mould preferably with a flat nose that I may get modified for hollow points.

Has anyone actually measured there bore or know if they prefer .358 or .359 slugs?

I am hoping powder coating will take care of any leading issues.

From what I've read, they run on the tight side; mine slugged at 0.3565".

I would worry more about COAL, with that heavy of a boolit...220gr would be a pretty long 357 boolit.
Those Ruger rotary magazines are notoriously short...I suspect Ruger designed them for the standard factory ammo.

That's why they invented .38 Spl brass.

FWIW, I have worked up very accurate 220gr wadcutter loads, and have seen 250gr FN loads posted - however, the stability of those is a significant challenge.

I run 200gr and 225gr .358 molds in my 77/357. Punching a 4" steel target at 130y shows much authority

There are guys running the Saeco #352 245gr .358 loaded in 38special brass to fit in the magazine. They will have allot more knock down power at a subsonic 1000fps than a 200 grain bullet. I think one modified for 220-230 hollow points would be nice. I think they are driving them to 1300-1600 fps supersonic but I would prefer a 200 grain HP at 2000-2200fps for that.
