Chrome lined barrel? Tough to tell

I just picked up a nice FN-49 Argentine in 308. You know, the one with detachable magazines. It's a nice solid shooter.

I've Googled info about this model and I have seen where it is supposed to be the only FN49 that had a chrome lined barrel. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble telling if it is or not. The SKS I have is clearly chrome lined. You can see the the bright ring around the muzzle. The bore is excellent on this rifle but I'm having trouble deciding if it is indeed chrome lined.

Anyone have info on this rifle or suggestions?

Put some cold bluing on a degreased spot inside the muzzle of the barrel with a cotton swab.
A chrome lined barrel will not turn dark.

on most rifles the chamber is chrome lined too shine a light in the breech and it should show immediately if its chrome or not

It's chrome lined...chamber is clearly chromed. After a well deserved clean up...you can see, like on my SKS, the chrome ring at the muzzle. It defionately doesn't take to cold blue.
