Well I just went from 15 to 16. .45 colt handi rifle barrel.

As to enjoy, I enjoy loading all of them, but some tend to be either more fun to shoot or more trouble free to load.

Have to admit loading 200 .45colt rounds did not take me long either in the casting or the loading.
Just got another 100 new starline brass from Monmouth so we will be off casting and loading again this week.

Using a Lee 230 gr .432 TC 6 cavity mold with 50/50 COWW and Range lead with some pewter added for kicks. Makes nice shiny boolits! Fun stuff, now to shoot it.

    Truncated Cones...

I just cast and coated/sized these yesterday to try in a new barrel in the 1911.
Never hardly ever shoot over 215g.'s but thought these would be fun to experiment with...

    I load for these calibers:
    17
    20
    224
    30
    8mm
    338
    9mm
    358
    10mm
    44
    452
    458
    476
    12 gauge

So it looks like 14 calibers for me. I got to admit I appreciate the members only loading for a few calibers. It takes me back to the simpler times of me only having a .243, 44 mag and 12 ga. It's fun trying something new but sometimes I think the more I learn the better those early choices were.

Like 12 gauge, 30-06, 480 Ruger and 223 Rem. Well okay and a CCW LOL
Oh great, another thread that makes me spend money.

Maybe on this forum the question should be how many different calibers do you cast for

This poll has been interesting all though somewhat predictable. I seems like there may be some parallels to the bullet casters age poll? It would be interesting to see the age of those who responded.

When I was younger I loaded 10 different cartridges. As I got older (53) I reduced it down to mostly 38 Special and 357 Magnum for simplicity.

Well since I added the .45 colt I have added a pair of .44 mag single shot H&R rifles.
And a Ruger Single Six in .32 H&R Mag. Mostly still shooting .32sw long out of it, but I do have mag brass now if I get inspired.

    3 air gun calibers, .177, 5mm, .22
    4 shotgun .410, 20, 16, 12 gauge.

    6 Pistol calibers, 7.62x25, .32sw long, .32 H&R Mag, 9mm, .40sw, .45acp.

    8 or 9 Rifle Calibers .223rem, .300BO, 7.62x39, 7.62x54r, .30-30, 9mm, 357mag, 44mag, .444marlin.

Takes me up over 20 no matter how you slice it.

+3 if you count MZ in 35, 45, and 50. I cast for these

Gawd, I hate that you made me count how many die sets that I use! 15 is not too many is it?

    Do I have an addiction?

    I've tried to limit myself....
I don't have nearly as many as most of you guys, but I keep adding....

    Started with 9mm
Then added 7.62x39 for an AK, but got rid of AK and reloading stuff for that round.
But I added 22TCM, and then
    243
    And then
    223
    And then 300BO
    And now 38 special
    And 357.

Still avoiding 45acp and 45 Long colt... For a bit longer

When I counted, to my horror I found I am equipped for 25 different cartridges, using 18 sets of dies, although I only reload 16 on a regular basis. Even though this is below what many report, I judge myself to be in excess, and have told myself I must cut down--which is why in the last year I added the 38-40 WCF and 327, the latter for its performance in a small single action revolver and the former because I have always wanted to load it. Don't ask me to explain the logic of that last sentiment.

I would dearly love to obtain a Savage 99 in decent shape in either 30-30 Winchester or 250-3000 Savage. I wish they would have chambered them in 6.5.x55 Sweede. That would have made a dandy hunting rifle for anything from Varmints to Moose and Elk. I believe that the Savage 99, the Model 1885 Winchester and the Ruger No.'s 1 & 3 are the classiest and neatest firearms ever. A strong 2nd place goes to the CS 527 FS in 6.5x55 Sweede as this is a sweet handling and shooting rifle that is just plain gorgeous to look at. I have a friend who has one and I have pestering him to buy it for 10 years. It would be a mite better at coyote hunting here in Nevada than mine in 223 Remington as the 6.5 has longer legs and better terminal ballistics.

    Currently casting, reloading and shooting: 223 Rem, 6.5x55 Sweede, 30 Carbine, 30-06 Springfield, 30-30 WCF, 303 Brit., 7.62x39, 7.92x57 Mauser, .32 Long, 32 H&R Mag, 327 Fed Mag, 380 ACP. 9x19, 38 Spcl, 357 Mag, 38-55 Win, 41 Mag, 44 Spcl., 44 Mag, 45 Colt, 45 ACP, 454 Casull, 457 RB for ROA and 50-90 Sharps. Shooting .22 LR & 12 Gauge seldom and buying ammo for same.
