    Earlier this week I had (2) 5 gallon buckets full of Sn60/40 solder scrap arrive on my driveway Now to figure out what I am to do with it

    I will say I'm struggling with the rubber coating on the big lead blocks. They weigh about 70 pounds each and that stuff is on so tight/glued on it almost impossible to get off...Hmmmmmm. I'm half tempted to heat it up and try to tear it off..Right now with vice grips and knife it does not want to come off easy!

    If you have a place to smelt thats not a nuisance to others I would dump it in the smelting pot and fire it up. Thats what I did with some coated float switch weights, although they were smaller and lighter.

    If you pursue peeling them, try ringing them with a box cutter and scrape it off with a razor blade scraper.
