As we all do I am sure. I pick up anything shiny I find on the range. Sometimes it's unfired bullets. I deconstruct them and melt the lead and process the brass.
Had a 38spl find last week (actually 6 unfired. Mixed head stamp). At first thought they were jacketed. Upon closer inspection. It has to be some kind of coating. Hiteck?
I love the color.
It abraded very easily and there is a clear casting seam. Makes me think not a commercial boolit.
Anyone know what this is? It's shiny and looks very close to the extreme plated bullet I put next to it. The plated bullet would not abrade on 200 grit like the 38 boolit.
