    Storing Star Dies

Just bought a used Star Sizer and was looking for ideas on storing the dies, top punches and the die removal tool. The fellow I bought it from used a small plastic tackle box. Thats my plan for now. Thanks!

I put mine in a uline zip bag then in a container.
I have a dedicated punch per die that has a lock nut on it.

I use plastic prescriptin bottles for die storage. Works great.

Picture this but w/ a label saying "Star Dies" and said dies in it. It's a Plano box and can be purchased at Walmart.

A plastic divided 12 gauge shotshell box works well for both Star and SAECO sizer dies.

dragon813gt, Thats what I had in mind. My Wife bought me a label maker for Christmas! Its also about like the fellow that I bought the sizer from used. Those shotshell boxes are a good idea, never thought about it. The pill bottles are a good idea, but I really like having everything in one container. As I get older I have become more conscious of leaving a bunch of stuff behind that no one can id.

You'all feel free to keep the ideas coming! And Thanks!

I use the same system as dragon813gt uses, only my plastic boxes are bigger. I've got quite a number of years collection of sizing dies and top punches. It really makes it much more convenient to have them all in one place.

    Hope this helps.

I have 2 systems rolled into one.
the old plano box and I made a board with pegs.
I just slide the dies over the pegs and put the punch in the box.
the board mirrors the box so everything is in the same place or in one of the machines.

School "color me" box that is the same size, shape and dimensions of a cigar box. Sits on a shelf above my reloading bench. Big Boomer

The Dies are in coin tubes, they are the size that fits dollar coins. I get them at a "Hobby Lobby" store here. You might take a die with you to assure the size.

The box was purchased there as well, it was either in the beading section or sewing section, but it will house the die puller, dies, O rings, top punches, pin vise with drill bits, lithium grease, extra shot, etc. All in one place for my meager set of sizes / lube groove type that I use.

    Hope this helps,

Yep, wrap masking tape around bottle and write size on it and I put my bottles in a used cigar box.

I forgo the masking tape and just write the size with a grease pencil on the lid. Magic eraser used to remove the original lid printing.

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions everyone. This is exactly what I ended up with. A little over $7 at Walmart. Its got enough room for my Star dies and my Lyman dies and top punches too! I'll add a drill bit, some shot in a pill bottle or film canister and whatever else I discover is necessary for my "new to me" Star sizer. Appreciate the ideas everyone!
