9mm 124 gr anything softer than Clays?

I've been casting 9mm with a Lee 124gr TC TL 6 cavity. Pc'd and loaded over Clays. It is a very soft recoiling load that allows for quick follow up shots. Accuracy is so so. Got into the local shooting matches. Would like to find another powder and load with these bullets in the 9mm that has little recoil like this one but still makes power factor and has decent accuracy. If I can't find a decent load with accuracy I might just start casting 147gr bullets for this. But I don't have that mold yet so I'd like to find a load with these bullets. Anybody have any suggestions?

I shoot USPSA with Hi-Tek coated and JHP 124gr or 147gr. I get best groups and softest recoil with Vihtavouri N320 and Norma Sport Vectan Prima V. They both burn super-clean.

Prima V is only $13 to $15 for a 1.1lb (1/2 kilo) bottle, which goes a long way using 3.0 to 4.2 grain loads. It also meters super consistant on my Dillon progressive press.

VV N320 is awesome but pricy at $115 for 4lbs ($28 per pound!). I am transitioning over to Prima V for almost all of my loading that I would have used VV N320/Bullseye/Clays for. I would definately check it out.

I have tried most of the usual powders in 9mm. When it comes to accuracy, nothing beat Power Pistol. WSF was second best but there was a gap in performance. Here is a sample shot at 25 yards. Hope this helps.

I did pick up a lb of pp to test. I hope I can get to where you're at.

I loaded a case of MG 124JHP With Clays. The load was min power factor, it is plenty soft. Much softer than my BE load.

They are soft indeed. I just wish that accuracy was a little better

I'm casting a 147g and coating with Hi-Tek. It's pretty soft with 2.9-3.0 Titegroup but may take a little more to make power factor.

I didn't see what 9mm you are shooting. Perhaps that has something to do with it?
    Keep your powder dry,

Haven't tried it but several USPSA shooters here local are raving about E3.
Also report less spikey than Clays.

It is a glock 17 gen 3. All stock except a lone wolf barrel.

I've shot a lot of tite group with plated bullets before I got into casting. They were 115 gr. Since going to cast I haven't tried any titegroup. With the 115 gr's it was a snappy recoil. I've heard so many stories about how hard titegroup is on everything lead, I didn't bother to check it out myself. Maybe I'll load up a few of titegroup too.

That is pretty interesting. Might have to keep an eye out for it

I'm using WST under a 135gr. cast FP, hitek coated in an XDs. Followup shots are much easier, accuracy is better than I can do.
    Whatever!

Not sure what you will get for velocity, but you might try 3.2 grains of Red Dot/PROMO with the 124s.

I'll give the Winchester powders a try along with the red dot/promo. If they have them in stock at the lgs. Thanks guys. It'll be a few days before I can test them and report back with my results.

Full case of WC872... Softest shooting powder I've ever tried in 10mm... Pretty quiet too...

I am using 3.3 grains of titewad over 124gr TC for our league rounds it has been very accurate and has minimal recoil.

I googled it and that is a very slow burning rifle powder?
