    Firesight or Tech-Sights for SKS?

Anyone upgrade their sks sights? I am looking at the Williams Firesight set for about $33, or the Tech-Sights TS200 rear sight only for $82. The couple of Midway/Brownell reviews for the Firesight are non existant or not good, but the tech sights are more than I want to spend right now.

Anyone have experience with either of these?

    Or, any other suggestions?

I have not used that Firesight on my SKS ( Yet ) but saw it when I was ordering some Firesights for another rifle I was building.
But I have used that design on other rifles and it worked great.
The price is reasonable, and can you see anything on the Tech-Sight that would justify the higher price ?

I have the Williams Firesight on a couple of rifles and one handgun, one is a M94 Win, the other is on a Lyman muzzeloader. Both also have peep rear sights, and I like the setup very well.

I picked up a second dust cover for my Yugo SKS, had a piece of weaver rail put on it. Then mounted a Truglo 2x Red Dot sight on it.

2.5 moa dot but at low power looks smaller than that. Quick target acquisition, and the 2 x zoom helps bring those far targets in a bit. Love it, for me it works. But it may not be for everyone.

Old eyes and iron sights just not working real well anymore.

I put the Tech Sights on my SKS's and they work real good with the original sight. The addition of the front Firesight would be better in low light. I also put drill and tap type, ProMag side mount scope mounts and UTG Bug Buster 3-9x32 scopes on. So, either the scope or Tech Sights can be used. I tried the saddle mounts and the B-Square type mounts and wasn't happy with all the movement. Be aware that by adding a scope, the cheek of the stock needs to be higher. I installed after market stocks to remedy that.
    A deplorable that votes!

On my Chinese SKS I did a mix an match. For the front post I used the Tech Sight target post and for the rear I use the Williams Peep. On the Yugo I added the Tech Sight front post as well, kept the original rear leaf sight an added a Choate drill an tap scope mount.
