I have read of some powders causing flame cutting in 357 Magnum revolvers using 125 gr. jacketed bullets with upper loads. Any reports of his phenomenon with CFE Pistol w/125 gr XTP bullets?

My Anchor is holding fast!
I haven't heard any reports of that happening with CFE Pistol.
Two caveats though. It hasn't really been around long enough to do much cutting and the achievable velocities with CFE Pistol are significantly lower than those reached by 296 and H110 which were the previous culprits.
Most likely to fast of a powder to cause any issues. It was the slow burners like Lil'Gun, biggest culprit, and H110 that were causing it.
Thanks fellers, for some reason I thought it was from faster powders, light bullets and heavier loads. Dunno what I was thinkin'...

Actually, it was Lil'gun that was causing the issue.. Blue Dot is also known for gas cutting due to it's high percentage of Nitro-Glycerine.
