    WTS Springfield Armory M1 Garand

I have a new, never fired, Springfield Armory M1 Garand in .308. I tried to sell it once before and got a lot of questions. It is the recent manufactured new Springfield Armory Garand. I can email pictures if interested. I would like $1200, obo, plus shipping ffl to ffl. BillClick image for larger version.

Is this a Garand, or an M1A? 308 indicates M1A....

Not necessarily, M1 Garand in 308 is a very good rifle

There were some Garands rechambered to 308 and were good shooters.

That said, I'm not aware of any new manufacture M1 Garands from SA.

If an M1A, which submodel? Unsure? Does it have a box magazine or does it use en bloc clips?

Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? S.A. Inc. did indeed make a run of Garands in both .308 and .30-06 starting in the 7 Million serial number range.
They are very well made Rifles.
Someone is going to be very happy.

There are many "opinions" expressed in this thread; likewise, the pricing on all Garands has risen and availability has diminished over the last 3 years.

From the photos I believe I am looking at a M1 Garand. I have two of them and they all look alike.

Yep, still is, had three shoppers, one was an almost maybe. Who knows, maybe next week. I'll just have to wait a little longer for my next toy. To bad someone isn't interested in an AR-10 or a 300 BO swap or barter.

In 1985, I bought a new one of those in 30-06. They are fine rifles. I don't have either the money or need for this rifle, but it is a high quality rifles every bit as good in quality as those made by US Govt or one of their contractors.
