I just bought this mold for my Marlin and Sharps 45-70 I would like some opinion on this mold. I been using a Lee 405 grain mold but really not happy with it. I thought of trying a different mold so i got this RCBS.

It is the RCBS equivalent to the Lyman 457122 330 gr. Gould HP without the hollowpoint. It is a good bullet. Years ago I had both molds and shot them from a 1971 Marlin 1895 with 22" tapered barrel and straight grip. Both shot exceedingly well. Mine also cast about 340 grs. Pretty sure you will like it.
USMC 6638
I used that boolit extensively for Cowboy silhouette and found it to be accurate and less punishing when firing 60 rounds than the heavier boolits. I eventually found a 457-192 4 cavity old Ideal mould that I use these days, it cast about the same weight as the RCBS, but the bullet is decidedly different, with a longer nose.
