Where to get bullet hardness tested- question

I am a long time lurker and just registered. Started casting about a year ago for .454 Casull and 9mm and have about 1,500 bullets down the pipe. Having fun and still learning. My question is this, is there anywhere a guy can send some sample bullets he has poured to get them bhn tested? I figured somebody on here may do it in exchange for the bullets sent to him?

A drill press, bathroom scale and 5/32" ball bearing glued to the end of an Allen set screw from the hardware store should get you close enough, unless you desire a very precise reading. As posted above, I think there is a 'sticky' or 2 on the process.

I second the Lee tester. I bought it after reading the Lee Modern Reloader. Well worth the money and use it all the time.

I've got a cabine tree tester. I'd be happy to test them for you if you want. PM me if interested.

No, the Cabine Tree just test hardness by impressing a stylus into a bullet or sample. To get content of alloy, send a small sample to BNE here. He can XRF the sample for content.
