    Need help on manufacture date 1858 Remington pistol.

    Im having no luck finding a manufacture date on an 1858 new army Remington pistol. 44 cal.
    Serial number is 2573

    The serial number alone is not much to go by. More info would be very helpful:
    Is it an original piece or a modern replica?
    Are there any markings, such as proofs or manufacturers ID?
    Finally, a photo or two would be very helpful.
