    bottle tumbler

Ok folks I bought a old bottle tumbler at a garage sale . The tumbler used copper pins about 3/16 of a inch long and was wondering if anyone has used copper to clean their brass. Have a load in it right now with lemmishine and dawn and the copper pins.
Will post results when done. The drum is 6 in pvc about 20 inches long.
    Thanks onlylead

Well the copper pins work just fine. I did have 21 out of around 650 45 acp cases with pins stuck in the primer pocket. Don't know what people get using ss pins. Im not very good on computer so if you want pictures email me

Stainless steel is used for tumbling pins so they won't rust. I've used plain old steel cotter pins when experimenting with wet tumbling, and even tried a handful of small brads (plus I have a bunch of small SS sheet metal screws that worked well for wet tumbling).

I'm not sure what the diameter of those copper pins are, but SS pins with a diameter of 0.047" will not get stuck in any primer flash hole or primer pocket.
