    Danger! Danger! Danger!

    Danger! Danger! Danger!

Use extreme Caution Monday the 21!

The World may end. Animals will jump off cliffs. Fish will be jumping out of water, Rivers will run upstream. Those silly glasses will not save you. I will provide a public service and remove them from your home at no charge. This way you wont be tempted to use them and THEN GO BLIND.

They will be destroyed as per Federal Law.

    PROTECT YOUR LOVE ONES TODAY.

Breaking new: Oregon has just called for a state of emergency

The roads are already jammed in Oregon. I am almost glad I am having truck problems so won't be able to get to my hidden camping spot in the Ochoco Mtns.

I decided to stare at the sun for 20 minutes today so that I would be better equipped to comment on the difference in opinion Monday.

For some reason, I can't see anything right now, so I'm having to dictate this to my dog, who is doing the typing at the moment. Who knew?

I've got a headache, too. Think I'll lie down for awhile and listen to CNN since I can't watch it.

This is posted facetiously, for those in doubt.

I live on the Oregon coast right in the "totality" zone. I hauled wood for the last two days and need to put in four more days before I am finished, but I am not going anywhere until next Wednesday after the mob has gone home. It is going to be a zoo around here for several days.

I'm going to look for some discarded eclipse glasses Monday evening and go out Tuesday to look at it.
That way I avoid the crowds.

I*'m going to try to be fishing while it happens, to see if it affects the bite.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

So we have a siesta time in the middle of the day. What's the big deal? I generally take a nap then anyway.

we have a friend that lives in Oregon right on the coast in a little bitty town that is the "epicenter" for all the hoopla...she said she is already having to "shoo" people off her property..mostly folks from California that can't seem to find enough to keep busy...I saw the last one and recall making a pin hole in a card and letting the eclipse show on a piece of paper under the card and pin hole..made a nice little display..also had some old black negatives and held a few together to look through..boring...this time it's going to be up close and clear as I've got a set of commercial fishing image stabilized 50X binocs that should really get me up close and personal.

I've stocked up on bottled water and spare batteries..also some dried beans and rice..should be ok.

I run down a road that leads right to Myrtle Beach, SC twice a day. There are signs on the highway telling people to watch for heavy traffic on Monday. I decided to just take the day off and scheduled a urine test to renew my HazMat instead then my sweetie and I are going to a micro brewery and sitting outside with a nice beer to watch the end of the world.

It was nice knowing everyone here and since the internet and cell phones are going to crash this will be my last message. I'll leave everyone with this

If I want to watch it it will be on the weather channel. No chance of burning up there........ the last one I saw I was told to look at the broadleaf bushes in my yard. I could see an eclipse on each leaf......

I'm thinking a welding hood should be dark enough to be safe. Does anyone know for sure.
