    Lead Duck?!?

I know the owner of a local scrap yard. He keeps pewter and lead for me when I visit. I make sure I bring him some bullets to say "thank you!"

I thought this one was interesting. I have no idea where it came from. It XrFed at Pb = 90%, and Sb = 10%.

Have any of you seen this before?

Cute little feller but never saw him before, I swear!

Brass bits on the outside, and you can lift the upper portion to reveal a hidden bowl? If so, only about a hundred. Never knew the alloy content but suspected a high Pb content. Should be good for 10 to 1 44mag boolits.

    hmm.
bet he doesn't do so well in the rubber duck races.

50% soft and 4% Tin and he will make some real nice rifle bullets in my 223/308.

the one I tried melting turned out to be pot metal. looked like lead and pewter to me but it would not melt correctly so I threw it in the dross pile.
