Powder coat or Hi Tek 50 Cal Maxi Balls

I've searched and haven't found anything, so here goes...

Anyone either powder coat or Hi Tek their maxi balls? Mine are .50 cal 370 grain, and shoot good from my CVA with the huge amount of home made lube filling the grooves.

It would sure be convenient if either of these 'new age' lube methods worked satisfactorily on Maxi Balls.

you know that the lube you put on them is to keep the powder fouling soft not to lube the passage of the bullet....

Is softening the fouling necessary for BP replacements (Triple 7) too?

    Thanks
