I had a little trouble with static electricity on the powder scoop but figured it out. My way of dipping was the method recommended by Lee, scoop a full measure of powder, rake excess off the top with a level object(in my case an ice cream stick), and weigh the charge without shaking to down or anything like that. The weights vary a bit and that is why I hand weigh each and every charge if throw. I don't trust scoops or powder measures completely. I have a set of weights to check my scales and I use them, regularly. I try to be very careful as I want the best ammo I can load to help my poor shooting. james

Well, dang it. The system screwed me up by compressing the numbers and headers. I had them spaced out to separate columns and numbers so that it would be easy to read. I tried to help it with the scoop # over the top of each column. Sorry guys. james

    Thank you sir,
That clears things up. I got out a loupe and looked at the picture on the instruction sheet, if correct it shows a 190. According to the Lee chart the 190 does 21.5 grs of Green Dot, that's close to what I got. That is not far from the #12 dipper you used. It is probably still a top load. My set doesn't have the charge sheet so I have no idea what Lee recommended.

I too have found that the dippers can vary with technique. I use them to throw the bulk of the charge or mild loads.

Speaking of check weights, I've been tinkering with my latest toy, the Ohaus Dial-O-Grain 3100 I found and have been having a ball cleaning it up and using the weights to give it a workout. I like it.

    Thanks again,
    Dave
