Has anyone tried loading heavier bullets in their carbine? I am thinking of say a 311041 bullet over a load of 4227.

Its been months since I bought the book, "How to scam people online". It still has not arrived yet!
"If the human population held hands around the equator, a significant portion of them would drown"
Sounds interesting.
That is sort of the concept of the .30 Whisper that JD Jones was messing with, loading 190 or heavier Sierras in the .30 carbine case. However, I think they were utilized in supressed AR15 type platforms for military applications.
Yes, tried 311041 and several others from 130 to 2010 gr.
Two problems: First is gas port pressure is high. Second is the 1-16 to 1-20" rifling twist of M1 Carbines (depends on barrel make) is not fast enough to stabilise the bullets.

I loaded some with 311291 and 2400. my friend killed 5 deer with it.
you have to be careful what powder and if the shell does not eject do not add more powder but less as shell will freeze in chamber, but will eject by hand.

I've used the RCBS 30-165 from a 10" TC at 1540 fps. for IHMSA silhouette.

Shoot only Cast Bullets!
I've got a #630 Saeco 140 grain plain base flat point I'd bet would work.
Bullet is .800" long with .455" above the crimp grove.
