That’s a really nice looking rifle. I bet it cost quite a few dollars, US or Canadien.

don't worry full loads will be used for hunting moose only
will develop one and sight in just before the hunt
the rest of the year will be reduced loads

    http://

had this Steyr big bore rifle in 450 marlin it shot that bullet very accurately at 1550 fps

I’d like to see it shooting a 500gr hollow point. Even on a moose, don’t you think that boolit might just keep on going? Would sure like to have updates on how it works out for you. I guess it’s too late for moose where you are this year?

That .450 Marlin is more my speed. I barreled a P14 in that cartridge and loved it.

Thirty some years ago, we never had any ballistic gel, but once did some testing on a problem bear. It was really surprising, that if you didn’t hit a major bone, the bullet just kept on going. Even after going through ribs. Granted, it wasn’t a big grisly.

Congrats on the new toy. Sure is a fine looking piece of machinery! Not to mention, one heck of a slug!
