This may be a dumb question, but I'm looking for a less expensive way to do some general shooting in a Pedersoli Quigley .45-110. Can Starline .45-100 cases be used to load BP for it without damaging anything? GF

You stand a real good chance of filling the throat with lead due to the case being to short for the chamber, and if done enough possibly gas cutting the chamber at the end of the 2.6 case.
Long range rules, the rest drool.
I think Don nailed it with his above post. I would say the answer is yes you can shoot 45-100 cases in a 45-110. I tried a similar thing with my 45-120 by shooting some 45-70 in it to "check it out" so to speak. I was sorry I did as it did build up a lead ring that was somewhat difficult to remove. I also felt the accuracy was way off due to the long jump the boolit had to make before it came to the rifling. If I had it to do again, I would not do it. That is just my experience and my feelings on your question.
Mark 5:34 And He said to her (Jesus speaking), "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction."
