7mm Rem Mag in '85, somehow I managed to not blow up the Win 70 Westerner despite being a stupid 18 yr old with no guidance in reloading. First handgun was 9x19 in a Ruger P85 about '88.

Don't have either firearm any longer; still miss the Win 70, stupidest trade I ever made for a used Mini 14 that went down the road not long after, don't miss the P85 at all or even remember what it was traded for.

Took a reloading class sponsored by my club 25+ years ago. Loaded my very own 158gr 38spl's that we shot as proof that they actually worked without blowing ourselves up

I remember the old timer teaching us..."gentlemen, the word you need to always keep in mind when reloading is...pressure"

22-250. In 1987 my uncle helped me build my reloading bench and helped me set up press and dies. I'll never forget our trip to the rifle range and shooting my first reloads and the great time we had.

300 Win Mag and 223 back in 81/82. no supervision or training, had to figure things out on my own. How I didn't hurt myself? God must have plans for me.

.270 win back in 2001 I was 12 and had just gotten my first .270 and I found my dads old lee loader stashed away in the bottom of his gun cabinet along with a can of IMR4350. Loaded with that for awhile and not long after he suprised me with a lee anniversary kit and Ive been at it ever since. Nearly wore that copy of Lee's book out.

.270 Winchester and 9mm in 2013. Easy with a book and google and only a half clue.

Next up was 308. Didn't actually start reloading any pistol until the middle of 2009.
It's been about 20 years. I think it was .303 British, to feed a No 4 Mk II I picked up. I know the .303 was the first of my own handloads I (with some apprehension) fired.

I started reloading the easiest - straight walled pistol cases. 38 SPL. That was about 40 years ago...

It was the early 70's, the cartridge was .357 Magnum, the gun was a S&W M-28 4" Highway Patrolman, Powder was Blue Dot, jacketed bullets, and the press was a Pacific. I guess everything went okay, no damage to the gun or shooter, that M-28 Smith was a fine revolver, locked up like Ft. Knox! I had been casting for muzzle-loaders before I began reloading metallic cartridge guns and my first reloads for metallic cartridge rifle was .45/70 in an 1879 Springfield, 5gr. of Unique under 50gr. of black topped off with a 500gr. Rapine 460500 boolit...what fun, and it was the most accurate .45/70 I ever had. I started loading 12ga. about 15 years ago on a used MEC600jr I picked up for $35.00, components included.
