.358 Win load , not limited to 158 grain swc and 700x

I could not find many loads for such a light bullet, much less a not jackted bullet.
    Through our sticky thread here I found 4 loads from the cast boolit pics site that look appropriate;
MAX load of Green dot 13.5 for 1761
    Max load 700x 12.5 for 1721
    Max load IMR 4198 27 for 1941
Max load for IMR 4064 37 for 1961

The gun is a 1952 rem 760 gamemaster that has been rechambered from 35 rem 16-1 twist
bullets are acme hi tec coated 158 g swc sized .358

    my plan is 5 each
    700x @ 10.5,11,11.5,12

    Whatya think?
    Thanks Ben

I've done the same in .350RM and .35W start with starting loads and work down, instead of up, to what I want. It works.

Also look at the work here for reduced loads, even though you won't find .358 the concepts and info are useful:

Here's some Lyman data. I have used Red Dot with that Acme bullet and they shot decent enough but I don't care for the smell.

My book is copyright 1972. The green data came from the regular Lyman manual of the same vintage.

I got pretty good accuracy using IMR3031 and a 358165 cast from 3-1. I found it very difficult to find loads for pistol bullets in 35 Rem so I went the reduced route.

I've done the same on the other side of the .358's capacity with 3031 in the .35W and .350RM with the 31 grain charge suggested in an old Al Miller (A big .350RM fan.) article. It's accurate and shoots to the POA at 25yds with the rifles zeroed at 200 with standard power 250s but a little dirty, due to low pressure -- just like he wrote.

I've also achieved the same with Unique, which is both happier in this pressure zone and allows a much more miserly charge.

in the lyman cast 2 and 3 a mold 358430 is 150, in he fourth 358430 is 195. for 358 win the 150 version is oal of 2.295 and in the current book w/195 version oal is 2.400. I undersand why the lenght would change. Is this one of those lyman changed the number things ?

the current addition (4)also has the lyman 358315 2grains lighter and a little shorter
