    Pacific / Bair presses

Anybody else out there enjoy the old Pacific & Bair presses besides seagiant, Char-Gar, and I ?

    How about photos of yours?

My camera is not communicating with my computer (won't upload pics) but I use my Brown Bair three station press as a primary press.

    Hi,
Wow! That first pic with the pair of 150/Pro- Bair/Pacifics just made my Wallpaper! Color me jealous!

My Gibson's store had one of the big blue Bair's that I coveted in the late 70s but I bought a Rockchucker for $35 instead.

    Here is my Brown Bair

Here is a pic of my Brown Bair It has my Hornaday 9x18 deprime and expand dies in it. I've been making 9Mak brass. Florescent lights don't make for bright pics!

I think the names of the bair line of presses are very creative marketing. I was wondering if anyone had some Bair equipment catalogs in pdf format they could share?

I'm a Pacific fan , I have been using a big single stage "C" press since 1973 it was given to me by a friend , it was left in a rental house and he knew I reloaded. I assumed it was a Bair because of the Bair blue color and the Bair case trimmer and other Bair accessories that came with it . All of them the same blue color . On one side of the press was cast into the frame the word SUPER and the other side had DELUXE. I had never noticed the stylized P cast into the frame behind the ram. It has a white rubber handle but does not spell out Pacific
Pressman explained it was made by Bair for Pacific hence the Bair Blue color and similar look to a Bair press. By putting the P in the mould it became a Pacific. Mine is circa 1959-1960 and was 10 or 12 years old when I got it .
We've been reloading a long time and it's my most favorite .

I do have several Bair catalogs that need to be scanned to PDF. Including the last one with the name change to Bear.
But, I sol the farm and will be moving to Minnesota. Everything is in a box, unmarked of course, waiting for the movers. It will be sometime before I get it all unpacked, shelving built, new book shelves, photosetup re-designed and so on. But I have room to get everything out so I can see it. It will be good when finished.

I pity that move Ken. Man that is some load of presses just alone! Your going to need a moving truck just for reloading collection alone!

Lubedude you are dead right on that one. I have the collection packed into 100+ boxes. Most of the collection that is. What remains are 50 or so of the large presses that don't easily fit into a box. Hollywood's, Herter's, CV Schmitt, Ideal and shotgun presses. I have not come up with a plan to haul them. Currently I am thinking of a small U-Haul trailer and packing them in. It might be the easiest way and I would not be forced to unload on a set time, U Haul charges by the day so it becomes sort of cheap storage.
It's a 180 mile move, if anyone has a better idea please, I am open to ideas.

I have a Pacific shotshell press, and a single stage for rifle, along with powder measures, beam scale, etc. Since photoshop took a dive I can't figure out how to load photos here.

This is the press that got me reloading, a Pacific Multi-C. I bought it as part of a kit in 1981 and still, it's my only single stage press. It's been in constant use for over 36 years and will hopefully, give my son a lifetime of service too!

I have one also, but mine is a light blue color. I was able to secure a primer feeder attachment for it but have been unable to find a spent primer cup. But I modified an RCBS spent-primer cup to work easily enough. Will post up pics tonight.

Pacific Multi-C press with modified RCBS primer catcher cup.
