what to use to make shooting papper fun ?

I enjoy working up loads and Ive a few projects going. I really enjoy shooting steel once ive got a round worked out, but my new range is pretty strict papper only. What do you enjoy shooting at paper ? The range has everything from about 7 yards to 200 and I dont have to sit at the bench.

Try to put 5 rounds through one itty bitty hole...
On every question of construction let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.

Work on your split times between targets or from the holster. Get faster and more accurate, if they won't let you shoot more than one round per second quit wasting your money and leave. Personally I won't shoot at a range that won't let me train for my next competition but that's why I prefer gun clubs. Why only paper though? I completely understand tanerite but not the use of steel or reactive targets.

I bought a CZ455 and shoot at 25 yards indoor. Farthest it will go. Bipod and a ridiculous scope to shoot 5 shot groups into a thumbnail. Breaks up the pistol shooting. We can't draw from the holster but we can start at low ready and fire as fast as we want. Sometimes Ill hang two targets, two shots on one, two shots on the other and back to low ready.

i think bits of targets are why its papper only, even watermellon or gourds would be a mess if everybody shot them.

In my dads safe is an 1886 chambered in 40-82 . Ill bet he would let me take it for a while or probably join me at the range with it , but i doubt he'll let me play with his pert' near 2 dollers a piece brass.
I did just read Paul Maththews The papper patch jacket. I was sortta on the look out for a CVA scout, Handi riffle, H&R type 45-70 but this sounds like more fun, Maybe spark my dads intrest to make some more lead bore size bullets and compare, already have a gun.

Standing at 50 yards. 3" targets. One shot per target. The point of shooting is hitting. Doesn't ring like steel but it'll teach breathing trigger control and sight alignment You can of course do this at any range, but I'd suggest keeping the target roughly 4 minutes of angle in size for distance.

Here are a few, altho, maybe not as good a chuckle as triplebeards. And if the "8" is on top of what I think it is, it should be an "11." Ouch!

I freeze colored water in 8 & 12 oz containers, take them out in a large rolling ice chest. Keeps my beverage cold, you see targets "explode" and you don't have to clean up.

    Sorry, not paper

DIY shoot and see targets are more fun than plain targets
