Broken arm plus EVACUATION WARNING equals fun in Seeley Lake

Last week I broke my arm in three places, compound and displaced fractures. When our evacuation warning from fires east and northwest became unpleasant, I experienced indescribable fun moving firearms, et al. to my truck one armed.

Thank goodness my matched pair of built-to-order muzzleloaders and lever rifle are almost ready to ship to me . . . almost.

I was wondering how you were doing down there when I heard about the evacuation.

I've had one family of friends burned out in the Lodgepole complex, and another friend's house threatened down by Superior. We've been lucky here in the Flathead so far, not even very much smoke.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
