    It arrived Pedersoli 1886

My new 1886 Pedersoli arrived and it looks as good as the photo's of it.
I will take it out to the 50m indoor range either tomorrow or the day after and try some reloads and commercial rounds.
I will post the targets when I finish.

Shot mine just yesterday. Although it would be classed as a modern lever, I use recommended 'trapdoor' loads with a 420gn Hensley & Gibbs boolit mould. This was one of my first groups at 100yds with open sights!

Beautiful. Nothing like color case hardening.

    Thanks all and nice BAW.
I have preped some Boolits and got some commercial stuff to try.
    I am using:
PPU commercial 405gr RNSP at around 1450fps
    405gr cast at around 1700fps
    405gr cast around 1400fps
    300gr cast around 1950fps
300gr commercial (Federal) not sure how fast?
Hoping to make it to the range tomorrow (indoor and only 50M) I will pass the results on when I can.

Its only 50M with the buckhorn sights.
I did have to put the sights up to max as well.

First is 300gr Cast doing around 1900fps (3 rds)
Next is 405 gr around 1400fps (6 rds)
    Next 405gr around 1750fps (3 rds)
Next 405 PPU commercial rds (3 rds)
Finally what a PPU rd looks like (on the left) when it doesnt load properly (I dont think they are crimped very well, if at all).

Mine now wears a Lyman 66. The Pedersoli comes drilled and tapped to the correct fitting. A young friend (with much better eyes) shot a 5 shot group last weekend just 1 1/2MOA!

Pedersoli makes some really awesome reproductions. I have a Sharps 1874 Long Range and it's not only a beauty, but shoot like a dream. Big and heavy, I can shoot 500+ grain cast all day long keeping to the 70 grains (of FFg) and not need aspirin .

Been looking for a lever. You got me thinking.....
I can not know what I don't know.
