It is a 45. This barrel has a 1-30 twist. I am using a paper patched RCBS 11mm rifle bullet. I harden it to 8 BHN and size it for the rifle.

I have been shooting this rifle and load for many years.

Thanks for the info and reply. I was wondering about the bullet because tho that is a great outfit to hint with, here in Colorado there is a two caliber limit on bullet length for ML season. So only the short stubby bullets can be used. I have a fast twist 45 ML but I only target shoot with it because the longer (heaver) 45 bullets I like can not be used.
No big deal but that is why I shoot the larger 54 ca with maxi-ball. A slightly < 2-cal 54 still weighs 400gr plus.

I am glad your state does not have that restriction. You have a great outfit for elk and larger game.

It is a RCBS 11mm rifle bullet with lead hardened to 8 to 8.5 BHN they weigh 408 grains. I size them after wrapping to .446 but I would recommend sizing to .448
