Russian Lyman Clone 20 ga range results.

Here are the preliminary range results for the Lyman 20 ga Russian clones. I concluded that using actual wads instead of just the shot cups works better. Next round will be at 100 yards. I'm really starting to like ProReach for 20 ga.

LB, these where shot using my savage 220. I tried to list the specs in the upper left hand corner of each pic, but it may be hard to see.

I just ordered the 16 gauge version of the Lyman sabot slug . Got several drillings and a Parker GH damascus 16 I'll try them in .
If this thing works decently for me I think I'll most likely add a 20 gauge like you have here . Have a little Parker VHE 20 and a Fox Sterlingworth 20 I thik they might do okay in inside my parameters .
Parker's , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines

BT, Since you're working on 20 ga, take a look at the Uncle Dino made me do it thread. Those slugs are only 3/4 oz. and I made a better prepared test yesterday. I've found some fast loads listed with ProReach but don't have that, just made a fruitless trip to Cabelas for that and more Steel powder. Like you I found testing the MP Lyman 12 ga that the whole wad worked best of seceral combinations. What's the weight of those slugs and where in heck did you get the 4756??

HT, Uncle D sent me some of those 20 ha slugs with the 12 ha versions. I had great success out of both my rifled slug Guns with the 12 ga but not so much with my 20 ga Ultra Lite Hunter. I've only got about 20 rds through it since I I've bought it. Actually, I think it's the gun. It's not the USH. The barrel is a lot thinner. I'll revisit those slugs here soon with my savage 220.

As for the 4756, my local range found a case in the warehouse of new bottles, old stock. I bought every last on of them. Ended up being 12 or 13 pounds.
Those slugs weighted around 570 grains or so.

    Thanks B.T.

I can't see the specs. Been using my smartphone lately because the PC caught a virus or something. It locked up and I wound up reformatting it. Still rebuilding.

Smartphone has a small screen even zoomed my old eyes have trouble.
