Anneal your 12 ga Magtech brass?

I loaded some black powder 12ga loads using Magtech brass for the first time last week.

It was by no means a hot load. 85gr FFg with felt wad, lube sandwich, lyman slug sitting in a modified (cut base off) plastic wad. I dont have a slug mold yet of proper diameter but wanted to play with what I got. Load was nice and accurate enough in my smooth bore double barrel.

One of the 25 cases split about one inch down from from the top (along length of case). I suspect it was one of the cases I may have overcrimped (wish I had kept track).

Before I reload again, I was thinking annealing will make these last longer. Thoughts?

I do it with my old Winchester brass shells... I have not tried it with my Alcan metal shells as they seem to be mostly zinc. I think it's a good idea for the brass shells as I put a tiny crimp on my shells. Before I started dipping them, I lost a couple of those sought after Winchester no. 12's
