    18 grains is what I use for 12 gauge, Did you misremember?

    No. This thread was promptly posted and then photos labeled. .410 is a lot smaller than 12 gauge.
    10 grains of Red Dot is to blow out the neck of a 9.3x74R to straight walled like a 3” long .444 Marlin case.
    The actual load powder was 16.2 of 2400, 3/4 oz shot, 1/2” of 1/8” thick 7/16 diameter cork wads, and an overshot wad.
    Littlewolf was present when we did it. His post was about different load data using 1/2” of fiber acoustic ceiling tile instead of a bunch of expensive 1/8” thick cork wads and 18 grains of Red Dot instead of 16.2 of 2400 with the 3/4 oz of shot. His hollow plug cutter also made the buffer wad with one cut instead of four. More affordable and easier to source, too!
