Hello, I have a question about the tolerances around the .358 or .360. I'm going to cast from range scraps around 9 BHN + 2 % tin. My revolver has throats measuring .358" and I'd like to have bullets that are .360" maximum. May I order a .358 or a .360 ? What kind of tolerances Miha applies on his work ?

    Hello

Miha's mold are usually spot on size wise with wheel weights

Are you using standard lube or pc/hi tek??
I use pc with .358 diam as cast bullet and they size perfect to .358 just a light squish thru and they clean up perfect...

Thank you Wasalmonslayer. I use standard lube with a LAM 2. According to your experience, I think I should change the diameter ordered for a .358". Am I right ?

You can size down a .360 real easy in a lam 2 I would get the 360.

I ask because I have the MP 453 200 h&g #68 and It throws bullets around .454" with the mentionned alloy. I find it a bit large for a .452" sizing. I have no .35X" mold from MP to be able to make the comparison.

I believe the specs on that mold are for it to throw .454.
In these buys when you have a diameter choice he makes them pretty close to spot on.
They may be a thou over but thats the most I've seen.
I have around 15 of his molds and they all are with in a thou of stated diameter.
I have a two cavity of this design already from the last buy and it was ordered as a 360 diam and it casts right at .3605.

So, I'm going to stay with the .360" as I cast from a low antimony alloy. It will surely shrink a little bit and give me bullets around .359 or .360". Thank you for your help Wasalmonslayer

If it is not too late, can I change my DIA from .358 to .360? I'm #1 on the Hi-Tek list (gijoe).
