Another source for these motors is a computer supply store. A lot of towers had them in to dissipate heat

Call Gainger, tell them the specs. on the motor they will probably have a replacement for it.

One hint; dust/dirt leading to overheating is one of the worst things for small electric motors. I don't think the motors used on tumblers (wobblers) are specially made for tumblers, and you should be able to find a "stock" motor exact replacement...

Mine was one of the MidWay tumblers that caused the recall by catching fire. At that time I ask them to send a SAFE one and I'd return the burned one for a refund.
When they received the return I was given a refund including S&H, no questions asked. They even offered to replace the CC and 9mm brass.
The affected tumblers were produced before a certain date, and all later models (1997 and later) had improved motors.
That's 20 or more years ago.

Lyman will sell a new motor assy. IIRC, it should fit or can be made to fit.

Sadly to say, Midway's customer service isn't as great as Larry might want to think it is. My favorite device on the bench is Midway's electric trickler (battery). Afraid that if mine dies, I won't be able to replace it, I called to inquire about parts or who made it or where can I buy another? Absolutely no help at all--like they had never carried the item. I'm very cautious about buying anything without another brand name on it. Steve

Looks like a regular fan motor.
midway said to send it back for warranty repair, but the shipping is almost the price of a new one.
I could fit it into a large flat rate box if not for the tub hold down screw.
midway said if i cut the screw, it would void the warranty.
I hate the new midway. Used to buy a bunch before they changed.
Anyone know where i can find a replacement motor????

When I returned my tumbler on the recall they sent a brand new replacement and reimbursed me for the shipping I paid .
And with Midway if you don't get taken care of properly call back the next day and speak with someone else or ask for a supervisor. The first person I spoke to about the recall said that the recall had ended nothing she could do. A call the next day to a young man got a totally different response and got me a nice new polisher ! Just be nice ....persistent , but nice !
