S&K no drill scope mount on a Krag.

    Anyone done it?

I ordered a kit and is wondering if i flushed a "Ben" down the toilet?

The thing is that it is made for the Norwegan/US krag and Howard at S&K insisted that it would also fit my Danish Krag.
But if it's a crappy kit i wont even bother installing it.

I used on on an M44 Mosin Nagant and couldn't be more pleased. Very solid mount. I shoot full power loads thru this rifle and the mount hasn't moved since I put it on. I think you will be happy. The mount is pricey but it works.

The various Krags are pretty close, dimensionally. Let us know how it works for you, I post on the Krag Collectors Association forum, someone there might be interested in your results. One thing I noticed that appears different on the Danish Model is that the hole for the cutoff seems to be much higher than the Norwegian or US Krags. You might have to make a different plate for the rear of the mount. Or, one of the old style mounts that had a U shaped device to attach the rear of the mount into the cutoff hole might work better for you.

I had one on a US 1898 Krag, extremely solid mount, I believe you will be very pleased indeed.
