Thread: melting recovered lead shot?

    The hardest thing is to find the shot.

    I might do a melting session but we have walked around the trap range area where the shot lands,there's no shot to be found. It disappears in the moss & brush.

    How do you people find it?

    Yea i just lucked up on what i bought called about lead they didn't have any and the man asked by the way would you have any use for reclaimed shot just got some in.

    The only use I have for used shot is to reload for Cowboy Action shooting. It’s a pain to clean up for that but my frugal Scot ancestry comes through. New shot has become terribly expensive. I haven’t been tempted in the least to melt any of the shot I’ve recovered.
