    Condiments anyone ?

In the past, I rarely bought ketchup or mustard for home use (I just haven't used them much at home) and would rarely look at them in the grocery store. Recently, I've been shopping for Mustard, because of the "Eastern NC BBQ sauce" thread (see post #15).

Anyway, I found some condiment's that surprised and delighted me (at Aldi's). I made a burger last night and tried the sriracha Ketchup...it's great!

the photo is kind of small, the Mustard bottle print is tough to read, anyway it is Cayenne Pepper flavored

well at Aldi's prices I'll give them a try either way. Worst case scenario I'll use up the ketchup in some spicy meatloaf the the mustard for chicken rub.
My feedback page if you feel inclined to add:

the Aldi in my neighborhood had the ketchup at $1.49 and the mustard at 99˘
out of curiosity, I checked Amazon for the Ketchup, was $10 for a two, plus 5.89 shipping

I have never ventured into exotic ketchup , I just buy Hunt's regular and add Tabasco to it . I always keep cheap yellow and spicy brown mustard . Might jump off and try some jalapeno .

    Sriracha, straight, is my 'ketchup.'

I can't recall the last time that I used actual ketchup.

I am picky about my ketchup, Simply Heinz, the HFCS free version!

Christina is HFCS intolerant, finding ketchup without it is a pain. Dont even get me started on pickles and relish. Aldis has a lot of non HFCS stuff, its a nice change.

FYI, the Burmans Sriracha Ketchup does NOT list HFCS in the ingrediants, it just says "sugar".
But, the Burmans Jalapeno Ketchup does list HFCS.
    I thought that was strange.

    Carolina Sauces

Did the same thing after that thread and a friend I met on THR forum sent me a bottle of Caroline Treet. Couldn't get Carolina Treet on the left coast for less that 6-7 bucks a bottle. Checked locally and nothing available in a Carolina recipe. Got these to try @ wm.com for less that 2 buck a bottle and shipped free to my local WM. I like the Hienz Caolina so far, havent tried the others yet. The Heinz is mostly both vinegars, tomato paste sugars and spices, others are mustard based.
