I have limited space in my garage where my big power tools are so I've built mobile bases from wood or angle iron (to fit the base better). Typically 2 fixed on one side and 2 locking swivel on the other. On units that have adjustable feet, I'm like the others, build the base so that the casters can be rotated up and out of the way and then level the tool. Makes it easy to move around but stable wherever your work area happens to be. I have access to a lot of scrap, including casters so I can do it pretty cheap.
