    Copper plating

Has anybody who processes a lot of range scrap noticed copper showing up in any alloy tests they have done? I just got done melting some rain scrap and know for a fact they were plated it in there and I was curious where the plating goes. I do not have a testing gun to test my alloys nor does it really matter as long as things cast.

Copper is good. I have not noticed any in my melting tho. I fight to add it.

Don't know but there is a guy advertising on craigslist in albuquerque, that his indoor range lead is analyzed at 1.35% Sb, 1.2% Cu, balance lead. That's a lot of Cu. I'd buy it if it wasn't $2/#.

Interesting. At my usual indoor (if I need a quick shoot closer to home), no reloads allowed. Down south there is another, that allows reloads/cast etc. It'd be interesting to get a bucket of each.... you know for testing. I guess I could dispose of the extra lead that would come of those buckets
