LEE 452-255gr RF With Black Powder ok?

I posted this before but I put it in the the cast bullet catagory, I think I should have posted it in this BP ctg area.

I've cast some bullets with my LEE 452-255gr RF DC mould and want to know if this bullet can be fired using Black Powder?
This bullet has two lube grooves but they are narrow and shallow.
If I use SPG lube and size to .452" will they work in my Ruger NV 5.5" barrel without lube starvation?
I have no doubt they'll work with smokeless powder, I want to try them with BP.

I cast them with Rotometals 20:1 alloy and they came out of the mould at .4532" says my micrometer and weigh ~261.3 +- 2grains. The alloy was very hot +800* during the casting session. Ladle poured from my LEE Pro 4-20 furnace.

Just use a good bp lube, such as Bullshops Nasa, or SPG, they will work fine. I've shot an awful lot of the Lee 452 255 swc with black.
Long range rules, the rest drool.

Should work OK in pistols, but with most any rifle I bet there isn't enough lube.

For rifle I use a waxed felt wad under the bullet and can go 25 or more rounds. With just the regular lube grooves filled a use 28 grains of FFg and a dry felt wad for my Smiths and get 25 or more shots.
