I was at the local rifle/shotgun/pistol range today doing my thing with rifles. As I was leaving I see a guy shooting an H&R Ultra Slug gun. I always keep my eye open at the range for interesting/cool guns. This one caught my attention because it's on my list of guns NOT to shoot (bad experience with fierce recoil in same action in 45-70 back in the day).
So i stop to chat, and the big grizzly bear of a man is as cool as you'd ever hope to meet. We talked a few minutes and he was full of info about slugs and load development. I mentioned I recently was on this forum, and he announced his identity on this forum too. So I am posting a little blur to say he's a cool cat and full of knowledge that he's happy to share.
BTW, he was shooting some cool slugs from a Russian mold. I think I want one of those too!
