    Georgia summer lunch

Folks, it's hot as blue blazes with high humidity today, generally miserable. But I gotta tell you, don't think there's anywhere I'd rather be just now. All fresh lunch and a nap afterward. Had to thank the Lord twice for this bounty.

That's about as good as it gets. I love that fresh corn on the cob, and everything I see there. I just got up from the breakfast table after finishing the last homemade biscuit with a slice of home grown tomato. This followed eggs, bacon, jalapeno peppers, fig preserves, a slice of cheese, a couple more homemade biscuits and coffee. I told my wife that the biscuits with tomato were angel food. We are truly blessed, and we did thank God for the food and ask His blessings upon it and us.

    Have a wonderful day,

    Leon

Can't wait for sweet corn to come in season! Smothered in butter with lots of salt.

Gee whiz, 'Tamer! That's a wonderful meal! My personal favorite (with many close runner ups) is boiled yellow squash, with sliced tomatoes and mayo, plus sliced cucumber soaked a few days in vinegar (usually cider) with salt & pepper, and whatever smallish piece of meat is available. Bacon, ham, or what have you. Mmm mmm mmm GOOD! Being diabetic, I try to eat as little corn as I can, but who can eschew totally good, hot corn on the cob, drenched in butter?!!!

Darn! You've really made me hungry!!!
