Palmetto State Armory $200 9mm Shield Sale Is Back On

Go to PSA's sight. Place a 9mm Shield in your basket and use discount code "shield" and it will knock $45 off the price to $274.99. Subtract the $75 S&W Rebate and you have a $200 Shield with free shipping to your FFL.

Grab A Gun has Savage Hog Hunters with the threaded barrel and OD Green stock in 308 for $399. http://grabagun.com/savage-11-hog-hn...t-b-bl-od.html

God Bless America and Happy 4th Of July

I got in on the Shield + 3 Stripped lowers for $399.00

Sell the three lowers for $60 each, get your $75.00 rebate, and you've got a $145.00 Shield.

Your right. They make both with and without a thumb safety. This one on sale has the thumb safety. Then again, it is a brand new Shield for $200. I called the LGS i'm going to use for a transfer and the best they could do was $325 with the rebate. $100 will load me alot of ammo

Yes, I saw that. I was going to do it then but I have 5 80% lowers I'm building already and really can't think of a reason to get 3 more.

I got one 3 weeks ago from a local gun shop for $275 after rebate and taxes.
I am a lefty and the safety did did not bother me thru the first 200 rounds thru it. I just do not use the safety. Only problem I had with this gun is the chamber is so tight that I have to load my Lee 120gr TC bullets very short.

    garym1a2,

CAUTION. = There have been several reports of "problems" with that external safety, when used by one of us "wrong-handed" folks.

Personally the "No Thumb Safety" 9mm Shield is the one that's on my belt & carried everywhere except where handguns are prohibited by Texas law.
(Places in Texas where concealed carry are actually few, other than schools, courthouses, sporting venues & places where alcohol is sold/consumed.)
My "little fellow", as an old boarding school chum calls it, is "nearly perfect" for concealed carry & it's so FLAT/small that it "disappears" under my usual/daily garb of un-tucked golf shirt with jeans, in its "on the belt" holster.
(In point of fact, MOST of my friends/associates don't know that I carry concealed essentially all the time.)

    yours, tex

I ordered one about 1730 on 29 June and my ffl just called to say it was in. 7 days with a weekend and 4th July on the middle.

Pretty darn good if you ask me

Would have picked up a "no safety" version, had they had them. Not to be. Bought a Sig P320 RX compact, off GB on the same day (June 29) and received it, yesterday, also.

I was this close to ordering a hog hunter at the same time but my bank account wouldn't let me. That was a great price for that gun and it gets good reviews over several different sites. Great buy

I purchased a 9mm shield that has the external safety as it is required to be sold in CA. I carry the Shield with the safety off as it is very easy to fail to dis-engage the very small external safety in a fast draw where a second will make the difference of living or dying.
The Shield has a very high poundage trigger, it is around 10-12 pounds trigger pull and this is your safety device for accidental discharges. You may have to work on your trigger finger placement to prevent pulling the shot left or right due to this heavy trigger pull. For me that was a little problem as I am use to using a Colt Defender 1911 with a 4.2 pound trigger pull. Just for your information. I have over 300 rounds, 200 being handloads though my shield and no failures of any kind with those 300 rounds.
Also you will be smart to get a magpul magazine loader to load the Shield's magazines. The mag springs are very stiff and almost impossible to get the last 2 rounds in the mag using your thumb.
