Hi,
I do not see much information on Pedersoli Traditional Hawken Hunter and was wondering if anyone has any experience with that model. I am looking to shoot paper patched bullets (would like to try Idahoron recipe with Lee 500 S&W bullets). It is a 1x24 twist so, at least in theory, the paper patched conicals should shoot good. I have recently purchased a Lyman .50 fast twist Hunter barrel for my Lyman Great Plains, but the barrel was defective (sent to Lyman three times and all barrels came back defective, with the bore not being concentric to the barrel by about .03 (about 1/32), the misalignment of the bore to the barrel was easy to observe with the naked eye by looking at the muzzle, I know, hard to believe). Consequently, I am considering buying a Pedersoli for my early cow elk hunt. Any thoughts?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
