Deuce,
Nice looking 'Tender. Now you can be on the lookout for some short barrels & pistol grips!
From the serial number list you posted it almost looks like some years they were on a quota system.
I can picture the shop foreman in mid November, 1989 saying "OK, we just turned out No 357200, shut 'er down".
The following year there was a shake up in management.

I have 2 old frames and 2 remaining barrels. One is a 10" .223 rechambered to 22-250. The other is a 10" .300BS from Mike Bellm. Cases are made from a .307 Winchester. They both shoot extremely well and are not for sale. I've owned many barrels over the years. .357 max is a blast and you can shoot the shorter stuff. Welcome to the addiction! I've found a lot of stuff in pawn shops too.

my old man has a 14" barrel in 7x30 waters with a muzzlebrake. i think he got it in '92 or '93. he shot several deer with it. nowadays its a closet queen. his eyes got to bad to shoot the scope.
Jokes on Me today.....................Went to do the sight in ...........target set at the 100yd mark ........... weather is /was perfect......
took aim ......felt good .......put a pull on the trigger ...........Nothing no bang no nothing.......
So it all came down to a weak hammer . I thought id was my loads so did a factory load and the same thing barely a mark on the primer!

Your hammer may be clipping the hammer block. I have 2 first series frames one 1968 and a 1975, I bought the later new in 76. I have replaced the hammer spring in it once, was broken. Have had to detail clean several times due to the hammer block dragging. From memory, my primers looked like that with the latter condition. The broken hammer spring was obvious due to the very light pull when cocking. Disassemble clean and lube, you may be just fine. Enjoy, they are wonderful firearms! Thanks for the serial list.

RKing.....thank you for your thoughts!!! I've got her apart right now and I can pick up on the hammer spring with my fingernail !!! so I feel she can use a new one for sure!!! I was really looking forward in putting lead on a target today!! Oh Well maybe next week

Hmm, considering that ours are of similar vintage and I have no idea how many thousands of rounds have been put through this thing, I may need to order myself a pack of hammer springs.
Glad it worked out for you. Looking forward to a range report.
