    All of 'em are melted

Melted down the last of the wheel weights I had on hand. Got about 65 lbs of lead and only 25 pounds of zinc and steel and junk. Felt pretty good about it Just wish I had another 4-500 pounds waiting in the garage. Time to start searching again I guess.

I've been melting every other day for the last week and a half. Anywhere from four to 6 hour sessions. All WW done and big scrap done. I'm down to smelting pure lead flooring. Probably have about 400 lbs or more to go. Getting burnt out and Can't wait to be done! Bet I've made close to a ton in weight of ignots.

Don't toss all the zinc, you might want some on hand if you decide to get into alloying in copper for tougher rifle bullets

Tripplebeards, You've been busy! Just curious, what method do you use to keep it separated?

99.9% of my wheel weights were brand new in the box. I still kept them separate from the three different labels that where on the boxes. On my used I separated all the stick ons by them selves since their normally pure lead. I culled the clip on WW by eye. If I miss one or two they float to the top and I toss them.

I was thinking more about storage. I separate mine in milk crates, and tag the crate. I used 5 gallon buckets at one time but they fail with age. A newby would do well to stamp his with a set of steel stamps, but my stash has gone beyond that! It would take about 20 years,
