Looking for recommendations for a 45 Col hp mold. Gas checked for a Blackhawk. Tried looking at different websites and am thoroughly confused. I will be powder coating if that makes a difference

In my Blackhawk the RCBS 270- SAA was the most accurate.i know it is plain based, and I can't comment on PC boolits. Shoot, looks like I ain't much help.

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?
These molds from Accurate all have a longer nose to fit the Ruger cylinder.

I load 7.2 grains of Bullseye across the board with all three bullets in my New Model Blackhawk.
I am not powder coating, but sizing .452 to fit the honed cylinder throats ala DougGuy and using Lee Liquid Alox.
The ENEMY is listening.
HE wants to know what YOU know.
Keep it to yourself.
The only HP one I have for 45 Colt is for my Blackhawk, 325gr NOE (casts a 350gr solid). I haven't shot any yet, in fact I haven't loaded any yet, I have powdercoated them and they are ready to load.
I suggest this one cast of 20-1 or 16-1 alloy;

Yep, good choice. Gas checked for soft alloy and a little bit heavy to help it keep moving forward.
My 1970's standard all'round boolit for the 1909 was a minie ball altered to make the tail the nose.
For .45ACP it's the Ideal 452484 hollow pointed with a gaping maw guaranteed to turn inside out.
This may not answer your questions as I don't powder coat and I don't cast hollow points. But its just hard to beat a Keith Type SWC. All of your mold makers offer one or more in different weights. Many offer hollow points. Maybe some day I should try powder coating? Just old school and slow to accept changes!
I am currently using a Keith style SWC. Love it. Just wanting to try a HP gas check a little hotter. Thanks for the advice guys. Gonna give it a try.
I have very good luck in my Blackhawk with the inexpensive Lee 452-255-RF. They are plain based.
I load them as cast to some pretty steep levels. Accurate and no leading.
do yourself a favor and buy a rcbs 300 swcgc mold. Its a bullet that's been accurate I every 45 colt ive tried it in and ive shot a dump truck full of game with it and it allways worked great.
