In a bolt gun they may be a mid range 222 velocity wise but should be safe. In a AR, Mini 14 or other semi they probably wont function the rifle reliably. Pressures may be down to where accuracy may suffer a little also. Try a few and see what they do. How many did you load up pulling 20 or 50 isn't near as big a job as 500-1000. A collet type or super fast puller will make pulling a lot easier than the kienetic types also. You could buy a set of cheap pliers and drill a .222 hole thru the jaws and use them on top of your press with the ram or on a piece of pipe with the ram. I have seen the cheap wire stripper pliers with 3 holes drilled in the long jaws .22 .243 and .308 for pulling bullets also.
I only loaded up 30 rounds yes for AR if safe to shoot I would rather just shoot them

When I have done this in the past, out of an abundance of caution, I fired three rounds in the ground 25 or so yards in front of me to make sure they were exiting the barrel then just shot them. As pointed out, might be a pain having to cycle the AR by hand.
