    300 BLK and WW231

I've been thinking about trying WW231 in the 300 BLK. Yesterday I loaded 20 rounds with 231 and the NOE 247 cast using CCI 400 primers. Boolits were sized @ .310" and loaded to an OAL of 2.260" with a very light crimp. Four 5 shot groups were fired @ 50 yards using a Ruger Ranch bolt gun.
    Results as follows: 4.3 gr = .837"
    4.6 gr= .908"
    4.9 gr= .598" (with 4 in .115")
    5.2 gr= .682"
I'll do some further testing before trying the loads with the suppressor attached.Attachment 198436

    Can't argue with results

Loaded a few more up yesterday and was able to try the 4.9 load over my MagnetoSpeed. Velocities for a five shot string as follows: 968,971,957,996,968 for an average of 971 FPS with an SD of 14. I then shot a ten shot group suppressed which measured 1.142 with seven in .610, I wasn't using my rest , but just a sandbag as I was in a bit of a hurry. The suppressed rounds seemed quieter than my 17 caliber pellet gun. Suppress or was a 9MM full auto rated SWR which I had converted to a takedown model with a titanium monocore.Attachment 198496 Group was shot @ 50 yards..........
