    I think our government has lied to us about lead. Lately I have had to buy 3 car batteries. What used to cost about $50-60 dollars now cost me $135.00. My mechanic says there is so little lead left in batteries that they barely last 2 years. I hope batteries in other states are better than California batteries.

    I stopped by the local small yard here on a day off. I liked it as they had everything on a sign.
    Lead batteries .25/lb
    Lead sheathing,solder,weights .60/lb
    WW are bulked in with scrap/mixed price at .10/lb
    I was eyeballing a a stack of lead which I think was large bars of lino type. I asked how much a pound for the big bars..... 10$ lb yikes.
    I was pretty sure there was a scrapped lino type machine piled up next to it.
