Any difference Copper or Al gas checks

I make the RCBS shot loads in 45acp which uses a gas check to seal the end of the round. Has anyone using this procedure seen any difference in groupings using standard copper VS. aluminum gas checks or thinner home made copper checks. I use both 9 and 12 size shot.

I'm going to guess that the aluminum checks will be fine. I have successfully loaded .45 ACP shotshells using both Hornady .35 cal gas checks and wads cut from tablet backing to close the front of the case. Both worked for the limited amount of shooting I did with them.

I have a check maker for my 480 Ruger. I have been making Aluminum Checks. I cannot tell any difference at all, except cost. Hornady is very proud of .475 gas checks.
